Well after looking at the rest of the 70s.....that is the only reference about a parent's right to remove a child from a hospital (as in fleeing)
The focus shifted in 1971 to doctors refusing treatment, transfering to other facilities, waivers of liability, saline, Dr. Cooley's work down in Houston, and a parent's legal right to decide treatment of a minor.
If you heard this from the podium in the mid- late 70's it probably was the Brother recounting the events of the previous posted article.
