During the course of the visit the same old discussion came up about the anointed, and of course we know the doors are open

towards new partakers. So how on earth this came out I don't know. I have this relative in the U.S. they apparently frequently are invited

to Bethel..lol can't figure that one out.....anyways I've been wondering where the heck she has been getting this 300 anointed left bit,

finally she coughs up that it was this family member, and was told right directly from a Gb member. He told them in a private discussion off the record.

I'm not sure about that one! So what the heck, is it open or shut, open or shut...

I think that it is perhaps something they truly need this to hold on to at this age, they need armageddon to come. And I guess

you can't blame them for that. Life is too short and who really wants to contemplate their end. It is truly sad. This is a subject that goes around and around,

and the next time I talk to her it will be the same thing all over again.

They also seem to be discussing the great tribulation alot amongst their friends...."What really is the great trib".

If they think too hard on the subject,and it's absurdity, they will find more and more doubts entering their minds. Then they are in danger of "drifting away" or outright apostacy. So they just accept whatever they are told. No thinking involved, and they are saved when the big A comes.

HOPE 4 OTHERS- That is an interesting figure your relative gave you , the " 300" anointed left . You might ask her - What in the world they are gonna do with the other 8,700 that are partaking, claiming to be of the anointed as well each year ? LOL! And the number keeps going up ! I know what it is - Dumb me. The GB really screwed up in the initial interpretation of the prophecy and we are gradually building up to 144,000 here on earth. Then when the number is filled , they all get raptured up to heaven in a " twinkling of an eye" ,then the Big A comes ! Hey , if they can make fantasy prophecies - so can I ! It really is a joke how their imaginations run wild ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Interesting conversation.. I think JWs will have plenty to think about as the number of anointed grows to above 10,000 and keeps on growing. Heck, everyones anointed now...

At least now there's anointed hope for others...

it doesnt seem that one could even really call their conversation a "discussion" since it is just a ping-ponging of regurgitated JW-speak.....

they use the loaded language and insider terms like they really do have an insight, and it seems to block, at some synaptic level, any input that is contrary to their spoon-fed information.....

i hear ya that the older ones who have literally given their lives to the b0rg NEED to believe it was for something genuine..... it would seem almost cruel to divest them of that belief
