    Psalm 68:11 has nothing to do with preaching, teaching or publishing the Good News.

    It's about celebrating the DEATH of the Hebrew War God's "enemies," then the womenfolk divide up the plunder. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, huh?

    IMHO, it's ridiculous to stretch victorious Hebrew war songs to cover Christian women (or men) preaching the Gospel at any time in Christian history.

    Last time I checked, Christ taught to FORGIVE enemies. It was the ancient Israelite priests who taught the celebration of savagery and plunder as the will of God.

    A few verses of the war-like 68th Psalm showing how the God of Israel fought for His people.

    Written by David. From The Message Bible:

    Psalm 68: 7 -10 God, when you took the lead with your people,
    when you marched out into the wild,
    Earth shook, sky broke out in a sweat;
    God was on the march.
    Even Sinai trembled at the sight of God on the move,
    at the sight of Israel's God.
    You pour out rain in buckets, O God;
    thorn and cactus become an oasis
    For your people to camp in and enjoy.
    You set them up in business;
    they went from rags to riches.

    11 The Lord gave the word;
    thousands called out the good news:

    As has been noted, it's apparent from the context that the women are celebrating a military victory!

    Reminds me of an old joke, "Why does the Society treat women like they don't have any brains?.......................................................................................Because they don't have a penis to keep them in."
