Moving to another area where you are unknown is a very successful strategy if your goal is to fade.
I incorporated this in my overall strategy to get away from the organization.

I moved about 50 miles away when I left home. It was great. Nobody's bothered me yet. When JWs come to my door, I usually don't answer. I let them stand there and wait.
