Our assembly overseer from many years ago, Don Nicholson, was an active pedophile for many years, molesting lots of young girls in his congregation, while serving as an elder and AO. He was convicted and sent to prison.
Another longtime elder I knew had a major part in a drama and many, many privileges over many years, all while having an affair that seems to have lasted a couple of decades.

I know a ton of elders and ministerial servants who were appointed while they were taking part in the most heinous crime - recruiting people to be a part of a cult.

When I was 13 the young brother (he was probably 18) they sent to study with me, he started dating my sister, turns out he confessed to molesting his own sister she was about 12, he was having sex with her. Nothing ever happend to him, nor did my mom or dad ever call the police, and the elders didn't do anything. We moved away shortly after that
Had a JW elder as a co-worker once he used company accounts for personal use, he was remodeling his home and charged supplies, materials and labor on our accounts. We took him to court and he agreed to make payments to pay back for money he stole. His defense was that he didn't know it was against company policy to use company accounts for personal use, after all he was going to pay it all back but he was fired before he could do so.
Another one, About 6 years ago we hired a JW accountant at my office, he worked for us for one year then the bank called my boss and the police got involved, turns out he had a very clever plan he had the ability to sign checks on behalf of the company, he made up fake accounts and would pay these accounts but the name of the checks were always printed out to people not company names, well the bank was investigating check fraud, and traced back hand written checks made by him and he would have his friends cash it. He got 5 years, and total amount he stole was more that 30k. After he was let go I cleaned up his computer and found tons of Gay Porn, also he confessed that he was addicted to crack, and that is why he stole the money. Funny thing is his family are all HIGH up JW's, District overseers, Elders, Pioneers, and his GP are annointed.
More, When I was in High School the son of the elder who DF'd my dad was TOTALLY in the closet, him and his BFF were always together, oh there was talk of him going to bethel and that is why he didn't have time for dating or marriage he wanted bethel first, he was the golden boy of the hall, a few years later he came out ALL THE WAY OUT!! poor mommy and daddy their perfect JW son they have to shun him
