Just wanted to share this with fellow JWD members. I went to the NORCO Circut Assembly and these are the recent $ numbers quoted ...

As of 4/14/2007 (The first of two Circut Assemblies) we had $10,260,22 (A SURPLUS)

Cost of the World Wide Work = Roughly $3,000

Amount Left Over = Roughly $7,000

EXPENSES of the December 2007 NORCO Circut Assembly = $16,916.99

Donations Given at the time of the Announcement (2:30 pm) = $8,800

SO THE DEFICIT OF THAT ASSEMBLY IS (According to the announcer) ... Aproximently $8,000 ... please dontate ...

I think I'd want a detailed accounting of the line-items that make up that bottom line.

That's an awful lot of money. Sounds more like a scam.

I'll do ya one better;

I had to ingest 4 NORCO just to be able to cope with being in attendance at the last Circuit Assembly.

They didn't cost me $ 16,000, but I would have been willing to pay that much.

this convention was held at an assembly hall that is owned by the borg and therefore paid for by the contributions of the r&f as well as built by their volunteer labour......

and they are being asked to cough up $16K to use it for 2 days?? how much IS a case of toilet paper in sunny cali anyway?
