I think it's because it's one of those articles that wants to blame science for racism and genocide. The problem with that notion is that the belief that one race of man is "superior" to another is not based in science, but was a junk-science in the same realm as phrenology. Unscrupulous men took advantage of the enlightenment going on and used it to justify their pre-conceived conclusions.
Your post makes me reflect. A recent thread on the global warming debate makes me do so too. When I was a dub, I thought that religion "out there" was junk religion. And the one I had was true religion. Unscrupulous men were took advantage of spiritualism and used it to justify their preconceived conclusions. Turns out, my religion was junk religion.
Ho do you know junk-science from true science? How do you know junk-religion from true religion?
