Common is like one of my favorite rappers of all time! Deep, poetic, actual cares about his craft w/o becoming too preachy and w/o losing his skills. Better rappers out there of course but he has a niche, knows how to work it and has been around for some time.
So don't just think "rapper" and think the guy is talking about pimps, hos, and ice 'cause Common is actually a decent rapper who goes beyond that.
