"More and more Witnesses keep sending emails wanting help and wanting out! The most common reason is they don't feel Jehovah's spirit is in the organzation anymore (as if it ever was). But shunning and family keeps many in for now. Pray for these ones. There are indeed many!"

    - Randall Watters, FREE MINDS JOURNAL, vol. 18, no. 2, Spring 1999, p. 2.

Randy wrote the above in greeting to readers some nine years ago ...

Are more and more JWs wanting help and escape? Have we of JWD 'stepped over into Macedonia' to help them? (Acts 16:9)

Thank you, Randy, for the stack of FMJs that I keep at the ready on my work station!

Enter literature sculpted for subliminal mind control and family peer pressure!

If it is recognised that people will stick to a belief they think false for the sake of family unity, what do you think any literature will repeatedly emphasize? And so on it will pass to the next generation! Complicated ,but follow your heart is all I can say - for the sake of those you love - but how you do it and the timing of it is down to you!

Yes, an almost tangible malaise is felt among JWs. The society certainly does not have the strong hold it once had. The soup is simmering.

The best thing that could ever happen is the Internet. This site {among so many} does a great job. People search and lurk and...learn. It seems Newbies come out of the woodwork every day.

It is all about planting seeds. But no matter what, it will always be a slow and difficult process. Brainwashing is real. And also, because many have so much to lose...family, friends, and all. An entire life going down the drain. Takes time and much TLC to re-program.

All this to say...yes, JWD does a great job...one day at a time.

    Mr. Crusoe,

Your point of following one's heart is well taken, IMHO. We had hammered into us that 'the heart is treacherous, the heart is treacherous ... no good whatsoever will come from trusting your corruptible heart.' We can become overly sentimental and use poor judgment, but I'd rather be friends with a big-hearted bloke than with one whose sole guide is cool and calculating logic based upon strict adherence to Scripture.

Yes, timing is everything, so I've learned ...

    Thanks for your thoughts.

    Thank you, *summer*:

As those of the French expression are wont to declare:

"Petit a petit l'oiseau fait son nid."

(Little by little the bird makes his nest,
    literally [strangely, the English translation
is "Small strokes fall mighty oaks."]).

I have certainly learned to be patient. You can't turn a ship on a dime ...

    Dear Friends,

Do you know any distressed JWs who are beginning to question what's happening in the organization?

    Thank you!

Yup, I have several cousins who aren't really "active" and who have problems with the org, I try to carefully plant little seeds when I have the chance to, I've found being too up front just makes them shut their ears tighter.

Thank you, sweetstuff, for your reply. From all I've heard and read, your approach is the best. There's so much emotion tied up in realizing one's been lied to that one just can't take the real truth in big doses from a well-meaning but pushy ex-JW.

    Thanks CoCo,

Much more info will be available on Youtube soon. I am getting a lot more email, too!
