I just saw the mail. when I saw a bill from the satellite TV company I could not refrain from opening it.
Seems like the congregation is flipping the $88 a month for the C.O. to watch TV.

I wonder if the R&F are aware of how generous they are being with the CO? I wonder how many of those families can afford the $88 a month for satellite TV?
It's laughable that the WTS claims that there is no "clergy" in their religion that is supported by the congregation. This sure smells like it.
Just an aside, though, if this is the CO, then the expense should be spread over all the congregations in the circuit, not just the one where he is housed. Maybe every congregation agreed to chip in $10 a month?
I wonder how sturdy those satellite dishes really are??
Is there any way you can rotate the dish a few degrees?

This actually came up for discussion in one of our circuit's business meetings.
HQ does not want the local brothers to pay this expense.
But rarely will the elders tell the CO "no".
I am torn. If HQ doesn't want it, I say give it to him.
If the congregation members have to pay for it, I say give him some rabbit ears and
stop the service. WHICH ONE PISSES THEM OFF MORE?
Let's go with "give him some rabbit ears."
