I think Pink Floyd's COMFORTABLY NUMB fits the WTS.
It is more about sticking a needle in someone's arm to make him feel better, but it could fit the Tower.
They take people who are sick (of something in the world, or perhaps a bit ill in the head) and offer to
make them feel better. They still get a bit sick from the WT cure for what ails them, and they wind up
worse than they started eventually, trying to hold it all together- settling for comfortably numb. -
