    Received in email today:

Cabbage (Stick close to the Organization)

A brother had a beautiful large drawing of the inside of a cabbage
how it is viewed when you cut it in half. When you view it, you
see the core and the leaves growing outward from it.
The tough leaves are on the outside; the tender ones, on the
inside. Once in a while you will see a leaf that looks rusty. This
is because it no longer gets nourishment from the core. The core
represents Jehovah's organization. The leaves are the
publishers. The outer, tough leaves are the mature ones who had been in the
truth many years. The leaves on the inside are the newer ones
who are protected by the outer 'leaves'. The rusty leaves
are those who stopped feeding from the "food" coming from the core
they stop associating, studying, etc. and so turned RUSTY.

And eventually one day some Korean guy throws the entire cabbage into a pot to make a steamy bowl of Kimchi.

Like real cabbage, Jehovah's anti-typical cabbagelike organization gives me gas and the runs.

And like most cabbages, they stink when cooking and taste bitter.

In the early 80's it was the illustration of a coal fire.

The coals that were directly in center were the hottest.

The coals around the edge were the first to lose heat, and if not moved closer to center, soon became useless.

The point being made was that we should stay right in the center of things in the Organization lest we lose out.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The WTBS..... Kinda like a steaming pile of cow crap on a cold day..... The more toward the center of the cow pie you are, the warmer you are, because you are the most covered with crap. Near the outside, you're still covered with crap. Either way, it stinks. The key is to be somewhere else entirely.

And now, for my heart-warming adage of the day....

One day a little bird was flying south for the winter. He was shot by a hunter and his wing was injured so he fell in a field. It was very cold and he was sure to freeze to death. Well, a cow came along and took a big, fat dump on him. Even though the bird was covered with crap, he was warm and he lived through the night. The next morning, a cat came along and saw the bird. He pulled the bird out of the pile of crap and ate him.

The moral of the story?? Just because somebody pulls you out of some crap doesn't mean they are your friend or have your best interests at heart. Sometimes somebody who craps all over you can be your best friend!
