I've had many experiences I cannot explain. Some bad some good. Here is one of each;
When I was a teen, I got together with some friends have a se'ance. My girlfriend wanted to call up the spirit of her uncle who died in a war. I don't remember which one. She read books and watch videos on how to do it. Anyway, during the se'ance a chair in the far corner started moving on its own and It scared me half to death. I went running out of there fast.
That night I awoke in my bedroom to noises that sounded like an old army movie. I could hear someone shouting commands and marching. The noise seemed to be coming from the walls. I got out of bed, thinking my dad must be watching some old war movie. He loved these and I thought maybe he had it up too loud. But I found the t.v. in the livingroom off and everyone asleep.
I noticed when I left the room, the sounds stopped but when I entered my room it started up again. When I noticed this, I tried to run out of the room but before I got to the door, I felt two hands push me backwards! But no one was there. I screamed so loud I woke my family and the nieghbor next door. Since then I do not do se'ances and never go near the ouiji boards or fortune tellers. I felt that way since this incident and way before becoming a JW.
Here is a good experience that I believe was either a "sixth sense" or instinct.
When I was about 22, I had a girlfriend with a young son who I used to visit every friday night. She would put the baby to bed and we would play cards and have a few drinks together. I would always leave at 11:00 pm to start walking home. The nieghborhood was not too good and my mom would start looking for me at this time. (I lived in Brooklyn NY). Anyway, she used to tease me about how I always left exactly at 11:00pm, she said you can set your clock by me.
One night I got up to leave and walk down the stairs to the door. She lived on the 2nd floor of any apt. building, when I abrubtly sat right back down. It was so sudden, my friend asked me what was wrong? I told her what I felt, which was an overwelming urge to sit down. As soon as I was finished with my sentence (about a minute or so), we heard a trememdous crash at the front door. We ran to the steps and saw a large truck in the hallway. We found out later, this guy was drunk and ran up on the sidewalk crashing thru the door. The door I would have gone out at the same moment he crashed had I not sat down!
I've had other experiences too including my dead mother coming to me in a dream and telling me my dad would soon be joining her. We didn't know dad was sick, and niether did he know. but within a few weeks of this dream he was diagnosed with cancer. Dad died exactly one year to the day of mom's death.
