Magick, that is exactly what I thought, when I went to my first Apostafest. Incidentally, it was at Hemplovers home also. I went with this expectation. I went alone, not knowing a soul. I was looking forward to it, even bought a new pair of high waisted white cotton undergarments. I was hoping that the ripping of undergarments part, would be after the sacrifices, biting the heads off of chickens, the snake worshippings, and as wonderlustguy said the Golden Calf dance. I was ready to experience the visions of demons, and demonic activity. I wanted to look into the eyes of the long time apostates, and see the red glow, that only Satan can give a person. I was pumped!!!

Well I was so disappointed. Bunch of talking, laughing, eating. Go figure. I guess they have those parties at other times.

I almost have her convinced. The only thing making her hesitate is that we are supposed to be in Florida from Dec. 19 to the 26th, and os afriad that it's goign to be to tiring and expensive to go up to Dallas after we get back from Fl.

There is still hope, though...

Mastodon - tell Mrs M that I am flying 10 hours to get there - so honestly flying from Florida inducing tiredness is not a good excuse.

I like the name of the Red Roof - how big is it? I may get a room for a couple of nights there to provide some in house British entertainment for you if WLG lays on some icey beers - or maybe mulled wine is more in order given it wont be all that warm.

I'm going to try and find a bar with some bands playing for Saturday night so we can all go hang out at that - if anyone arrives early.

I saw a really great band whilst I was over in May play at the Amsterdam Bar called Tonite Tonite - he has a voice that has the timbre which, well um does things for a lady....anyway this is his myspace link http://www.myspace.com/tonitetonitetx and you can hear a couple of their songs. I should say he is damn damn sexy in real life too and was very amenable to letting me wet his whistle after the gig. Anyway I am drifting from the point here, but I've asked him to try and get a venue for Friday or Saturday 28th or 29th December so we can hang out sup some beers and listen to some music. If you add him on myspace can you send a message saying Crumpet/Nina told you about him.

Oh and we will be having live music and a band is booked for the New Years Eve party too! Yay!

Hey Crumpy, you're totally right.

But, CHANGE OF PLANS!... On Dec. 22 we will take to the open road, we are going to drive to Florida. We will stop in New Orleans for the night, then get to Florida the next day. We will stay at my brother's until Dec. 29, when we will drive back, stop somewhere for the night and then WE WILL HEAD STRAIGHT TO DALLAS!!! We should be there the 30th in the afternoon.

And since they just approved my request for leave, I can go ahead and star booking the hotels we will stay at. It will be fun, and yes, ther will be blood!!! :P

Can somebody PM me Hemplover's address so I can start planning my driving routes? I will love you forever...
