I've been dieing to go to this thing! .. It's really close to me and my mother in law just moved there. I'd even have a place to stay.. UGH! Only thing is that I'm having surgery Dec 28th. Why now??? I'm so disappointed!

Country Girl - if you look back at Hemp Lover's initial posts on this thread details are there and also Cruzanheart's post. There is a meet up at the Cheesecake Factory on Sunday 30th so PM cruzanheart for details of time etc. Then on New Year's Eve we party on from 7pm til the wee hours - bring a dish if you like and definitely some booze. If you need more details then PM Hemp Lover which is where the party is at - send your email addy as she cannot reply to PM on her pooter.

Hey, guys, sorry for the long silence but I've been sick. Upper respiratory infection, still feeling lousy. Jackson got it from his best friend and then, in the spirit of giving, gave it to me. I, due to having, um, close proximity to Big Tex, passed it on to him, probably Wednesday night. Jennie never catches anything. So three of us feel like total crap.
As for the Cheesecake Factory, I'll call and make a reservation for Sunday at 11:00 -- does that sound reasonable? I strongly advise everyone to bring cash as it's easier to divide the bill that way instead of handing in 30 credit cards to the poor waiters (though I'm sure they'll survive if some of you have to do that -- just fix them with a firm eye and tell them how much to put on the card). The Cheesecake Factory is located on Northwest Highway about a block west of Central Expressway (I-75) in a strip shopping center on the south side facing the mall.
See you there, unless this thing is still hanging on. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and in the meantime I'm going to fix myself a hot toddy.

Thanks for the details Nina - I guess 11 sounds okay - that should make sure those who want to go watch football afterwards can do so? I've been quite sick as well for about a week and was worrying I wouldnt make my flight but am much better and will be on my way in less than 48 hours. I hope you are feeling much better soon x

The hot toddy helped and I called my doctor today. Naturally, he has no appointments available until THURSDAY, but I talked to his nurse and told her exactly what I needed (codeine cough syrup, new inhaler as mine was 2 years old, and a sniffy thing like Flonase to get rid of the itchy nose). Hopefully I have enough cred with him after all the years of twice-yearly bronchitis attacks that they'll just call it in.
I thought 11 would be better because that's a traditional brunch time and then if people want to do something else later they've got time for it.

Well guys, I made it to Florida last night, after a Saturday night of debauchery in New Orleans! On the 28th or 29th we'll start the long trek to Dallas.
I left my phone charger in New Orleans so I'm keeping my phone off until I buy a new one. So if anything comes up, leave me a pm as I'll be checking the site periodically.
