I took a few pictuers with it today, and it's still going fine... Too bad there was no sunshine...The pictures are still quite good for a "cheap" camera. I posted them quite big so give it time to load.

My Kodak DX6490 has served me well and I've taken thousands of shots in different parts of the world, some of them rather unfriendly to the camera, still it provided good pictures which I could readily forward by email. This year it had been getting slower and slower and finally I bit the bullet a month ago and bought a Canon. I was attracted to a Canon because I'm familiar with their SLRs (I have an EOS 50E and B&W handprinting is my real love) and I've got a PowerShot S5 IS. I've tried it out on an overseas trip and it's coming through well.

Last week, I was looking at that camera online.
Here to Christmas I'll probably get that one, or one in that price range.
