why would the JC make u/force u to say u did something u did not do does that not show u were telling the truth? and how did all this blow out of porportion?

It was completely blown all out of porportion. This was in the mid 1970's I was 22 at the time and this married sister was going to take her son to see Fantasia, I had not seen it in years and she asked if I wanted to come along so I said yes. There was absolutely no motive but to see this movie that was it. At the JC I was given 2 choices admit what I did was wrong or be Disfellowshipped those were the only 2 options. I argued my innocence but that was not what they wanted to hear... This married sister casually mentioned to another sister that she her son and I saw the movie and how much her son enjoyed it. That sister ran to the elders that's how it ended in a JC...

Just like Snakesinthetower said, they had already made up their mind before the JC even began. Just like my Elder cousin they had no intention of disfellowshipping him he was one of them their "Good ole Boy" he was a very powerful Elder in his town every Elder in the circuit knew him. His argument was his wife had no right to divorce him and deny him his marriage bed (his exact words to me) doesn't matter that this wonderful christian woman put up with his mental and sexual abuse for 31 years everyone has their breaking point she came to hers. This was a very arrogant self rightous Elder that lorded his postion over the congo so to say he showed repentance at one JC meeting is IMPOSSIBLE to believe...

but in a sense it was kind of humorous n_n.....

Yea, it was so funny I DA'ed myself 2 months after my cousin got his slap on the wrist. It was by no means the only reason but for me it was the last straw...

It could be one of dozens of things that are not serious enough to warrant outright expulsion but serious enough to warrant publicising. It could be for example talking against the leadership or their doctrines, watching porn movies, going out with members of the opposite sex alone.

it could be none of your business. Isn't gossip one of the things we hate about the org.?

I woukld just like to say thank you to everyone who have given their input and or expeeriences on the subject. I know i have not fully introduce myself so i'm gonna do it now.

I'm a Haitian-American 19 year old female. I live in Florida and i and been a jehovahs witness for the past 14-15 years of mylife. My mom was introduce to the truth. as a young child i use to celerbrate holidays and stuff. My father is a non-beliver and he "never will be a JW!" his exact words. I never got in trouble, but i use to run up to the elders for advice and things. I am also an unbaptise publisher, why i did not get baptise yet i'm not so much in a hurry also i haven't even prayed about it but thought about it. ----XOCO

Dont get baptized unless you are 100 percent certain it is the "truth". Once you are baptized you are exposed to the harshness or the Organization. You will be forced to have only JW associates, only believe JW teachings, suspend any intellectual curiosity and basically have the organization attempt to run your life. Then when all you have is the organization it will become "hell" trying to ever leave or even think outside the box.
