Just don't get a big head and start your own religion. That is what all apostates want to do, isn't it?

Not this apostate, OTWO. I've had as much religion as I can
stand in this lifetime already, thanks.

An "assists" column would be nice though, and I hope to increase
my own personal tally as well, I've by no means settled for a 4-0
victory. This is one "match" in which the opposition will not be
    making a comeback

When the elders discovered her domestic situation, they invited her to
meet with three of them at their kh.

Why does it take a whiff of scandal or perceived wrongdoing to jerk the elders into action? I would lay odds that they did not do a lot to "help " her when she was a fading JW, and in the state of "spritual sickness"

Has everyone gone cracked on this site? It is not a good thing that she is leading people away from JEHOVAH.

Actually, I'm a "he", and given half a chance I'll lead a few more away
from the watchtower. I'd love to post a thread on here entitled
"dedpoet 10 watchtower 0" one day.

I see from some of your posts, harleau, that you are studying with the
jws - a rarity among adults these days. I guess they must have caught
you off balance in some way.

Take my advice, and it's advice that would be ecoed by most of us on
this forum, and do some independent research into the watchtower
before you join them. If many of us here had done that, we never would
    have joined.

You are right, they didn't. She got a couple of phone calls when she first
started missing meetings, then nothing at all for several months, until
the elders heard that she has a "worldly" boyfriend. They were soon on
her case then, but it was too little, too late by that time.

We were talking to Julie on the phone last night, and she is very happy
that everything is resolved and the elders will now leave her alone. Her
df'ing will be announced next Tuesday, but she is writing to a few that
she was close to before that, explaining why she started missing
meetings in the first place - she had been inactive for a couple of
months before meeting her bf, and wasn't particularly interested
in going back to meetings anyway.

I have - cracked that is. I cracked open my brain and allowed it to think without daily doses of indoctrination [they call it inculcation I believe]. And I did not spend a little time with the organization to find that out either. I speak of what I know after 40 years in - I just dislike organizations that allow men to rape little children and then get away with it, for starters. But that iceberg is deep and broad when we look under the pretty surface. Jeff

Personally, after 21 years in the organization, I didn't like the person I had become. For me, my spiritual need includes doing good to all people w/o judging and forcing my beliefs upon them.

I wish you the very best in life Julie.

    Love, Juni
