So this jaw bone of early man has been dated at 2.8 million years old. That means that given a margin for error and allowing an unknown but short period of time for Adam naming the animals the 1000 years starts in ummm, eerrr. Hang on if you allow for the fact that... , no that can't be right. Any way the flood must have ....

Any way we know Armageddon is just round the corner, through the traffic lights, pass the gas station... you can't miss it. Can you???

2.8 million years....but if you overlap enough generations, he could be your father.

    Fossil jawbone

Amazing how these "3 million" year old molars look identical to "modern" molars.

Thats right Perry, we all know mankind is only 6000 years old and those bone fragments from those archaeological findings are from animals or humans that exist today.

The shape of teeth varies depending on the diet of the species. If they were omnivorous, like we are, those teeth would be similar to ours.

    Scientists lying? Gasp!!!!

"Knowing that scientists are highly motivated by status and rewards, that they are no more objective than professionals in other fields, that they can dogmatically defend an idea no less vehemently than ideologues and that they can fall sway to the pull of authority allows us to understand that, in Goodstein’s assessment, “injecting falsehoods into the body of science is rarely, if ever, the purpose of those who perpetrate fraud. They almost always believe that they are injecting a truth into the scientific record.” - Scientific American

Yeah and all those dating methods are a farce and archaeological findings or never retested by other Labs .

Someone is just doing this to create some notoriety around themselves, maybe create some money for government grants.

If people would just read the bible they would know exactly how the earth and humans were created.

And yet science works to give us all the technological marvels because it is a self corrective process. That's what the process of peer review is all about. If all scientists lied all the time nothing scientific would work since it would be based on incorrect information. We would not have all the technological marvels that we have and would find ourselves at a 19th century level of technology if all science were fraud.

The Scientific American article that you quoted refers to "some" scientists.

This was from the genus Homo, but not the species sapiens.

A progenitor perhaps, but not human.

When I was a kid all the talk was of "the missing link". This is it, this is part of the progress from apes to modern humans. The missing link is missing no longer. This find is part of the evolutionary march. How can it be denied?
