Recounting Activities,serving the Watchtower.

Many have lamented the years of service given to the Watchtower and the activities that they performed in their various congregations. Many have paused to consider what record might be left of these services.

For me as I think of the 33 years of service, think of the happy years, ( yes, there were some happy years ) the scenes, the trials that we have all witnessed and experienced, it appears to be an age since they began, now lost and even forgotten by many.

The Watchtower has fogotten the rigors and sacrifices over the years of those of us who have left for various reasons. Equally troubling to me is that our contributions ( including money $$$ )and actions for The Watchtower that has been meticulously recorded ( not the money ) on our Publishing Record Card now buried somewhere in the files.

What is not known and recorded on our Publishing Record Cards is that our beliefs, our deeds and our passions have changed toward the Watchtower. As a result of that change and belief we have altered our views of The Watchtower and the world.

The rank and file hear only what The Watchtower tells the elders to announce from the platform. We might be able to set the record straight to some close friends, however , for the most part the congrgation is left with the question... I wonder what so and so did that now we have to forget all the good that they did for us over the years and wipe out their names, their good character and influences.

The Watchtower uses "Character Assassination" when we stop serving them.

I keep in mind that we were and are "The Good" they are "The Bad and The UGLY."

Time will bear this out. We served with true hearts, they serve with a poisonous heart.

    Thanks for this thread BlueBlades.

The WT system continues to show how off they are from Christianity. A person can easily be forgotten within the JW populace, no matter what work they have done for the Borg. If only they were more like Jehovah. (Hebrews 6:10)

They even forget or ignore most of their current publisher population too. Except for a few exaggerated experiences on convention programs (which are useful to promote cultish obedience to the organization), they treat their members as mere numbers.

The bottom line, the numbers -- attendance and "productivity" in the field ministry, that's what counts most to the WTS leadership and even the congregation leadership.

Anyone experience problems or serious doubts is (to them) a distraction best dealt with expeditiously.

they treat their members as mere numbers.

That is the real reason I left. What I actually told my friends is "They don't care for Christ's sheep. If I see them start caring, then we'll talk."

Now I have some different issues, like "what organization doesn't want the best, smartest people as members? That is really strangeto me." My JW friend answered me this week, "well they are a cult."

I didn't say a word. Bwah ha ha ha ha.
