  This doctrine doesn't make sense!
  
  The faithful and discreet slave are all the 144,000, but the Organisation was appointed as the Faithful and discreet slave in 1919. But surely a part of the faithful and discreet is appointed each time he/she is anointed? And surely this has happened several times before 1919, such as to the Apostles and to Russell? Weren't these anointed members already the ones meant to look after Christ's 'domestics' even before 1919? Doesn't the WT teach that there has always been some members of the FDS between 33CE and now, even if just a few around at certain points? So why did they need a specific appointment in 1919?

  Doesn't that mean there are 2 faithful and discreet slaves? The 144,000 as a complete group appointed individually as Jehovah sees fit, and also the Organisation appointed in 1919? Or did Jehovah replace the 144,000 with the Organisation in 1919? Now headed by just a few of the former FDS?
  
  But the WT still teaches all 144,000 are the FDS? As well as the Organisation?

  This is precisely correct. It is the same as the reasoning on their 1975 failure of
  prophecy- "Our 7,000 year Creative Day was right, but the end didn't come because...."
  Later- "A Creative Day is thousands of years." (We stop saying 'Seven' thousand, but
  allow that to be slowly forgotten.)

  Now that the Revelation-Grand Climax book has been studied to death, expect them to
  print the number '144,000' much less often. That important number will linger for very
  long, so they don't expect to change that doctrine now, but allow it to eventually be
  relegated to "interesting possibility" or somesuch nonsense as the ranks of "anointed"
  continue to pop-up.

  Meanwhile, the straightforward proof is there that this is a power-structure cult.
  After the cult leader, J.F. Rutherford's passing, the efficiency expert and the oracle
  wanted their turns, but others wanted the power, also. The oracle fought against their
  efforts, but could not admit any doctrinal error to defeat them, after all- he was contacted
  by the heavens and he was (virtually) their prophet. When the battle was over, the
  Board of Directors (known as the Governing Body) shared the power with the President.
  In a future round of power-struggle, the Governing Body decided to no longer have one of
  their own members holding greater power than the others, so the Presidency became
  an administrative job for someone else. Since then, power has diminished among these
  men as the lawyers and accountants dictated to them, so they started to seize more
  power directly from the obedient followers. Not satisfied with total obedience, they now
  seek to remove all other contenders for limelight.

  They feel that the GB is a sort of elder body that acts as a spokesman for all of the anointed, the FDS.

  It is kind of like they self-appointed themselves to postions of control without consulting the other annointed.

  Yeah Gumby I did notice it says "ALL" but the JW says that "ALL" only applies to the FDS class. Did it mean all or a few?
