    Fleaman ... I was talking about the US particularly .... but I'm not saying it doesn't happen to others as well in other racial circles. In the US I have certainly had people of other races prejudge me because I am a white American male.

    My 2nd gen "Old School" dub parents don't think they're racist and that they raised us to be "color blind", but they can't help themselves.

    When describing someone who isn't caucasian, it is ALWAYS: "That Black brother, that Mexican sister, etc."

    I have pretty much given up on teaching these old dogs new tricks.

    We moved to Huddersfield in West Yorkshire in '78

    When my mum phoned up enquiring about the KH, the lady on the phone said

    "Technically you'll be in Huddersfield East territory, but I'd think about coming to Huddersfield West cong because they have a lot of black brothers."

    Pretty dumb for a telephone comment with a stranger you'd never seen.

    My Mum is Malaysian and she was very offended.
