Fire and Ice - Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

Back in 1990, I was really into writing poetry, a way to escape, my parents really never thought it was appropriate. Yet, one particular poem I wrote won a poetry contest, I was 16 at the time, and for being 16, it is my favorite and says alot about me (I was a JW at the time too).

    "The Expression"

Allay the harshness in the expression

A jovial practice is what is favorable

Yet, the practice is distorted and twisted

What a shame, a voice says!

But, everyone is bound by their own injury

We yell, we yell, and we yell

But, not even one exclusive person hears us

Treasure your life and your race before you

Grope for endurance, reach for vitality

And you will have the right expression

I think your link has a virus. I clicked on it and my computer got infected with a bunch of different spyware applications. I had to use system restore to clean it up.

Cease the day----Carpe Diem---Catch the moments as they fly

There's nane that's blest of human kind,
But the cheerful and the gay, man,
    Fal, la, la, &c.

Here's a bottle and an honest friend!
What wad ye wish for mair, man?
Wha kens, before his life may end,
What his share may be o' care, man?

Then catch the moments as they fly, And use them as ye ought, man:
    Believe me, happiness is shy,
And comes not aye when sought, man.

Thanks Ninja, my mom has read some of them recently (DFd JW), and they make her cry because she feels like because I wrote the way I did that she did something wrong, my response was "Mom, maybe you need to realize that maybe I have some creativity in me, and thats that".

She is right somewhat though, I wrote all the time, because I couldn't stand to live with my parents growing up.
