I'll be watching it for the first time this year. I watched the peliminaries, it was so funny, and Crumpet has made it a stipulation if our friendship is to continue, lol.

I'm irritated 'cause of this because it means no Dr. Who for two weeks.
edit: the only thing I know about this contest is that some gimmicky band, Lordi, I think it was, won last year, right?

The semi final is on BBC3 right now for anyone who is interested. Girls in Leather seem to be a prominent theme. The Moldovan entry is very very hot.

Britain has this in the bag from what I have seen so far - its the only one that has captured the real camp humour which is prevailing this year.

It's always interesting to listen to the music, there are usually some good songs, but as mentioned above the voting was and is becoming ever more politicaly motivated with neighbours always giving high marks to neighbours.
I still remember and laugh with those Finish monsters that won last year it was quite a clever publicity stunt.
