Sir Nose- my guess is that they dont want us to know of all the blunders- AND the welfare of any with weak faith encountering all the hateful things said...and a lot is likely fabricated!

Yes, I would agree with that. Keeping the blunders of the Society out of sight of people is very important to them. Also, they know that a weak person could be easily swayed to leave the organization if he were exposed to convincing arguments against the JW doctrine.
All of it comes down to trust. The Society does not trust any of its members to hear about blunders, see the proof, and then disregard it. The Society does not trust that a person would be able to associate with ex-members and keep his faith intact. And you know what? They were absolutely right not to trust their members to keep following them after they start talking with ex-members on the internet! Now in my case, I didn't talk to any people before coming here. But after checking out an Encyclopedia Britannica article on Nebuchadrezzar II, I was curious and began my search.
