Ok, so this guy was going out in service and came upon a old lady who had fallen and couldn't get up-and had been lying there for days. Finally, a JW does some actual good out in the field. Glad to know it isn't all a waste of time! :) http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=18096663&BRD=1699&PAG=461&dept_id=46371&rfi=6

Obviously that's good news.
But seeing that they're the only ones preaching it's strange that the rest of Christendom can provide similar stories and more of them.
For every account of miraculous angelic help, well timed call/meeting, selfless act, ultimate sacrifice that the WT produces as evidence of God's support/blessing/direction the Church can duplicate 100 fold.
Anyone read The Heavenly Man? Story of a Chinese Christian's persecution at the hands of the Chinese authority, his unwavering faith and resolve, and his miraculous escape/deliverance - complete with "angelic blinding of his prison guards" allowing him to simply walk out of a prison.
It's real "Yearbook Stuff". Of course it'll have been the devil "appearing as an angel of light and blinding his mind"

That's nice. I guess it was a good thing for once that he was overly persistent.

A thousand to one times it's the letter carrier (mail man/woman) who is the rescuer, they are even trained to be lookouts.

How long before that story is in The WT or told at an assembly.

He did a good deed and should be commended.
Let's just hope the old lady isn't hounded by the JWs to start a study later. I remember my mother coming to the rescue of an older couple in a bad situation. They thanked her profusely, exchanged phone numbers, etc. My mom started visiting them under the guise of making sure they were okay, but then to try to get them to come to the hall and then to study. They were smart enough to say, "Thanks, but no thanks". Even as a kid, I was embarrassed by the pretense of helping someone just to try to preach to them.

That's so likely. I am sure the story will go into JW assembly stories. They would love to
give it a better ending like, "She was happy to start a study with the JW's."
She could even actually agree to it, because they would stop by once or twice a week, and
she's lonely. -

That would be hard in my neighborhood. Ours is curbside delivery, and I doubt they can see anything from the street. I do remember one time, though, some friends of mine were out in FS, and the mail carrier had a stroke or seizure of some kind while driving their wagon. She collided with my friend's car and the mailbox pillar (made of bricks) and it was quite the scare. I guess it was good that they were there to help...
