I usually give to anyone asking for a small handout ONCE unless I detect or suspect that the person is a professional beggar. I don't not give to religious solicitors or other organized contribution seekers. If I notice that a person is handicapped then I will give most of the time. I really don't care what the beggar will do with the money (all things considered). I enjoy helping someone in need.
