They claim they DO NOT have clergy because elders are not paid in dollars for their service. But the distinction between those appointed by the GB as elders/ms and regular publishers is obvious. I do not have a problem with SOME ONE taking the lead within a group. If somoene wasn't in charge there would be chaos. What JW's have done is turn from their elders, co's/do's being ministers and servants to being masters and lords over their flocks. Christ understood some one had to be in charge, but never to "lord it over" the flock like the Pharisees did. Which is what the JW's have done.

And yes, no man need confess a sin to any other man for forgiveness of sins. If you look at it, they are structured like the Catholic CHurch. GASP!!!!

    Let's see now....

The Catholic Church has the Pope.

The Watchtower Society has the Governing Body.

    The Catholic Church has Cardinals.

The Watchtower Society has Branch/District Overseers.

    The Catholic Church has Bishops.

The Watchtower Society has Circuit Overseers.

    The Catholic Church has Priests.

    The Watchtower Society has Elders.

Nah, no clergy-laity class amongst the Watchtowerites
