Does the Watchtower Society acknowledge the UN's help?

The UN regularly defends Jehovah's Witnesses rights to worship. They have "written up" such countries as Armenia, Bulgaria, Gabon, Georgia, Greece, Latvia, Romania, Singapore and Slovakia for human rights abuses against Jehovah's Witnesses. I wonder, since the WTBTS disassociated themselves as an NGO, have they publicly acknowledged the UN's help in that regard?

Similarly, Amnesty International fights for the rights of Jehovah's Witnesses around the world. Has the society ever acknowledged or thanked Amnesty International for their work on their behalf?

They play whatever tune works for the moment. Period. IF it aids them to keep membership they play the 'UN is evil and the wild beast' tune. IF it aids them to bring in new membership they play the 'Oh thank goodness for all the human rights assistance they give to humanity' tune.

I agree with Jeff. While I can't say any instances, I would imagine that they acknowledge UN assistance
on human rights locally, in the areas affected. At the same time, they don't want the free publicity of it
to reach other areas where "the UN is nothing but Satan's tool."

They don't have to thank anyone. Don't you know they're God's chosen people?

I've seen also in the literature that the persecuted are lauded, as well as Jehovah. Very little credit is given to the worldly 'system of things'. I'm thinking of the 'Revelation' book, chapter 9, paragraphs 6 and 7, pages 42 and 43. There, they speak of the persecution of JW children in American classrooms, Nazi Germany, Taiwan, and India. Only in the India case do they mention any 'worldly' support,

"...the two judges decided in favor of the children, courageously stating, "Our tradition teaches tolerance; our philosophy teaches toleracne; ouir constitution practices tolerance; let us not dilute it" [but the article then goes on to say]..there are Christians in that land who worship the true God Jeovah and that these stand loyally by Bible principles"

Faint praise for the un-Christian judges!

They don't aknowledge any help from anyone being the ungrateful bastards that they are, the world must always have a very negative connotion so that their followers will feel alien and isolated in its midst. The dubs no doubt owe a lot to doctors, nurses, lawyers, judges, constitution writers, firemen, policemen, whho never refused to serve them for being JWs. It shows how detached they are from reality. In fact the WTS itself doesn't even show any gratefulness to the help/toils given by its own members whatever they receive is never good enough. Like the proverbial leech they never say enough.

The UN are great. Jehovah's Witnesses hate them, and yet the UN helps them anyway. What lovely people must make up the UN. The reason why the UN is bad to JWs is because, it puts itself in the place of God by trying to do what only he can do (i.e. help the world) So, the UN is evil, because it tries to solve problems on it's own rather than waiting on Jehovah? The bastards!

WTS disassociated itself from UN in name only, some GB members have themselves listed as NGO members

The WTS has continued to talk out of both sides of their mouths as far as the UN is concerned.
Notice thes two articles in the same issue of the WT (during their library membership years).

    World Without War—When?

THE Charter of the United Nations went into effect on October 24, 1945. It is the most comprehensive strategy for world peace ever to be designed by humans. With its original 51 member States, the United Nations became the largest international organization in the history of the world. Also, for the first time ever, an international organization would have access to an army to enforce peace and security and bring about a world without war.

Today, with 185 member States, the United Nations is stronger than ever. Why, then, has the most powerful international organization in history failed to accomplish its noble objectives fully?

    THE

CHRISTIAN VIEW OF THE UNITED NATIONS

In Bible prophecy, human governments are often symbolized by wild beasts. (Daniel 7:6, 12, 23; 8:20-22) Hence, for many decades the Watchtower magazine has identified the wild beasts of Revelation chapters 13 and 17 with today’s worldly governments. This includes the United Nations, which is depicted in Revelation chapter 17 as a scarlet-colored beast with seven heads and ten horns.

However, this Scriptural position does not condone any form of disrespect toward governments or their officials. The Bible clearly states: "Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves."—Romans 13:1, 2.

Accordingly, Jehovah’s Witnesses, who are maintaining strict political neutrality, do not interfere with human governments. They never foment revolution or participate in acts of civil disobedience. Rather, they recognize that some form of government is necessary to maintain law and order in human society.—Romans 13:1-7; Titus 3:1.

Jehovah’s Witnesses view the United Nations organization as they do other governmental bodies of the world. They acknowledge that the United Nations continues to exist by God’s permission. In harmony with the Bible, Jehovah’s Witnesses render due respect to all governments and obey them as long as such obedience does not require that they sin against God.—Acts 5:29.
