I'm new, too. After I left the witnesses, I found it hard to pray. They indoctrinate you to think you can only approach Him and expect Him to hear you if you're a JW.....NOT TRUE. So, pray from your heart and ask for his guidance, then expect it!!!! He's there for everyone. Welcome, BTW.
