Zico,
Are you in the UK? Here in the U.S. many are under the impression (apparently wrong) that beards are acceptable over there.
Loving not shaving,

Nvrgnbk,
I am in the UK, and beards are definitely not acceptable in my Congregation. I'm pretty sure that people with beards are not allowed to give talks at any Conventions/Assemblies in the world.
What would Russell think? -

Zico,
Imagine that. It appears that many JWs over here have been misinformed. I wonder if there are other matters they've been misinformed about? Hmmmmmmm?
Remember, the mosaic law which we're no longer under but still follow in principle commands us to not destroy our beards,

156 for the Public Talk today, that's a lot.
His talk was boring as well, at least he is generally a good speaker, but today was poor.
The video was one of the Society's best I think (They don't have high standards to live up to!) but an obvious propaganda piece, designed to convince you to donate more money. -

At least it's over now.
No more meetings for me for a few weeks! :) -

Back in the 1980's I had a beard (and also another person did) and no one really said anything, as for having congo privileges I don't know as I never had any and wasn't interested in them. But I can't recall an elder with a beard. It's amazing how many man made rules they have to labour under also that disgusting preaching time report as if preaching were a secular activity to be scrutinised by men.

>>Apparently he has a DVD presentation to show us on Thursday.
Me thinks a surreptitious swapping out of DVD's might be fun! Any thoughts on what a good swap might be?
You've got kids in the audience, so Debbie Does Dallas would probably not be appropriate. "1984" might be good...
