I just got back from Scotland and am I glad I had my camera with me. Using Little Toe's address the cabdriver took me there -- well, not quite all the way as I'm sure you'll understand -- and I got out.
Xena -- have you seen this place? And a question to the both of you -- what are the elders going to say with that ediface on the roof's peak?
Congratulations to the both of you. I hope to be at that Renfest.

One of my favourite memories of all time is visiting Edinburgh, having a fantastic meal of fresh caught salmon and then going to bed listening to the wind howl outside.
I truly wish you both all the happiness in the world. After what you both have been through, you deserve it.
What will Ross be wearing under his kilt???
A true Scotsman never says.

So a cousin of mine is hoping to come. He's in his 30s, 5'10", lean, dark haired, single, having devoted his life to Scottish Politics

Xena -- have you seen this place? And a question to the both of you -- what are the elders going to say with that ediface on the roof's peak?
He said it was quaint and historical Ah well he's a bonnie laddie and it does have a nice view.

Sowhat is the easiset way to get there? Dallas Fort Worth - London Heathrow - Glasgow - then a boat - or do you take a puddle hopping plane? Curious minds want to know.

LittleToe
That would be the route. The plane from Glasgow takes an hour.
Dallashttp://www.dfwairport.com/
Londonhttp://www.heathrowairport.com/
Glasgow http://www.glasgowairport.com/
Stornowayhttp://www.hial.co.uk/stornoway-airport.html
Alternative routes are available through London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen, all by air.
The boat ride sets sail after an overland trip of an hour from Inverness, out of the small town of Ullapool; alternatively longer routes are available from Oban and the Isle of Skye; all from Caledonian Macbrayne.

I checked for the hell of it - I would do Kansas City - Newark, NJ - Glasgow ( Continental Airlines) www.continental.com , then puddle hopper - or Rail from Glasgow Queen Street to Oban then Caledonian . By the way bargains at the moment on Southwest Airlines Kansas City into Dallas Love Field 49 dollars one way non-stop (some change in Tulsa or Oklahoma City)
