World wide ban on the WT

If the wt was banned I think they would take a hard hit at first, all the faders would have an instant excuse for staying away, serious cash flow problems, etc. I don't think this would last for long though. This would be the proof that people were waiting for, they said we would face persecution just before the end and they were right! The remaining members would have their faith reinforced, and thousands of walk-away-believers would come flooding back. The wt would be strengthened by something like this, not weakened.

Well I think that all religions should be required to disclose of their assets and pay taxes, especially if they provide no real use to society, or even charity. The WT Society is not a charity, doesnt do one iota to help people, no food banks, no homeless shelters, daycare, absolutely nothing-- and on top of that they run counterproductive to having an educated country by discouraging members to not go to college and plan short term careers. They should be required to pay taxes.

but what if governments instead of banning cults outright, made it harder for cults to take in money. What if the government provided funds for X cult members to organize and help others. What if you could see commercials on TV that reached out to help those suffering under the JW system?

NO matter how you cut it, loyal Dubs would view it as the "persecution" that they've been droning on about for over a century. They've always declared that at some point, the government is going to "turn on" religion, including the Witnesses, but somehow, miraculously, they'll be the only ones that don't go quietly. When the government then singles them out, that's supposed to be what triggers the Great Tribulation, if I remember correctly, which is the preludge the Big A. Therefore, most Witnesses would love to be banned, because they believe it would mean that their "deliverance is getting near."

If your goal is to destroy the Watchtower Society, an outright ban is the wrong approach.

The right approach? Tax them and surround them with legal restrictions that drain the organization.

Taxing them, now that they have developed contribution problems, is the way to go. I see no reason why destructive

cults like this one should live off tax dollars, the way they do. Who pays for fire or police protection? Not them.

I have one quick point to make. It has been said here that JW's would return in droves if a ban was implemented. What would they return to though? There would be no Kingdom Halls, only groups meeting in secret in people's houses. Shunning would be a thing of the past, for fear that an X member would turn them in. Everyone would have to cooperate or else they would be exposed. The WT Society itself would be powerless, it would just be a bunch of Witnesses with no clear plan or direction, they would disintegrate. The people most affected by this cult (children) would have a major vantage point.--------I do like Metatrons plan though.

What happened after 9/11..Kingdom halls were packed..Lazy Dubs came out of the woodwork to get into the Kingdom Hall..Ban the WBT$?..There would be an increase in activity..For awhile..Then atrophy would set in..After the 9/11 scare was gone,so were the lazy scared Dubs at the Kingdom Hall...OUTLAW

I don't know that they return in "droves" but I said that it "could" cause an increase.

Remember for all those that have left because of figuring out that the WTS is all bunk, there are many, many more who fade away because they just couldn't cut it. Many of them still believe that the JWs actually have the truth, or the closest thing to it.

If an actual ban on them were to happen, many of these inactive ones would be scared into action. They would think the Armageddon is here and they would go running back to the JWs, willing to go underground even, if they thought they could gain God's favor when he destroys the wicked.

Of course, over time, many of them would fade away again as they realize that Armageddon isn't imminent and the pressure of being a JW, along with being underground with them would be too much. And many would fall further into the clutches of the WTS.

The elite rich have been working on a New World Order for a few centuries now and only their type of RELIGION will be permitted.

This info is marked on the back of the American one dollar (fiat) bill. Check it out.

Persecution validates the WTS as the true religion in the minds of JWs. They believe that the WTS will be attacked at the same time as all other religions but they will be the only ones that survive. When the "nations" see that they have survived then Satan will have the nations attack the WTS again (touching the eyeball of God) which starts Armageddon.

Any ban or sanction against them would only serve to reinforce their persecution complex. That being said, I do believe that they should be forced to use their funds in charitible work in their respective communities in order to maintain their charitible organization status. Such charitible work should be performed for the entire community as well, not just the JWs in it. If they don't like it, then tax the shit out of them.
