Some people are just not ready to come out. Many of the things that a person needs in coming out of the Watchtower include:

    -time -seeds -love

I think these things can never be underestimated. We have to remember that we are never going to be the ones that bring a person out. That will happen to that person on their own, they will be building up for it in their own minds.

We can't be to quick to think that in one session we are going to break down their entire religious system. Just not going to happen. Instead I like to take the opinion that this kind of thing takes allot of time, and that I may only be there for a small part in the middle of this persons journey.

We all want to be there for that person when the axe finally takes its lack whack and knocks down the tree, but that for the most part is just wishful thinking. I think we should remember that each person is at a differant stage, a differant metnal state.

Without a doubt there are people in the org that only need one conversation with an 'apostate' and they walk away. There are others that will never walk away. And then there are those 'in the middle' in which it is a gradual process, possibly over many years.

I like the idea of leaving a JW with just one thing to think about, one thing for them to remember. Instead of going all over the place, stick to one thing and leave them with that. If not it will just be to much. Plant a seed with the person, something well thought out and simple. Something they just can't toss away.

Of course I would also say that allways showing love to the individual is important. Allways let them know that you have your concers because you care about them. While they may think you are a little strange, kindness can go a long way.

Just a few pointers I have learned in this battle. Great to hear you are giving it a try! I encourge you not to get discouraged, but to look back at what went on during the conversation and think about what you could have done better. Allways find ways to progress.
