I was depressed. I asked the PO for help numerous times and didn't see any. I expressed my need for help with my depression and the questions that come with loosing a child. Again, nothing.

This is so typical. In my congregation, the elders were far far quicker at detecting visible "problems" such as the "proper" dress code etc., but totally ignored the human suffering right in their midst. So, a brother or a sister could be struggling with health issues, and would never see the elders, but if someone turned up to the meetings with a type of shirt that was not approved, he'd be seen by the elders immediately. It's funny in one way, I suppose, but when I think of all the suffering the elders did not attend to, I am left feeling really sad.
