Not exactly urban legend, just wrote time, wrong location. The Russellites stood on a bridge in Pittsburgh on Good Friday in 1878, dressed in white robes, waiting for the rapture. (As reported in a Pittsburgh newspaper.) Russell later denied he was there. He said some of his more "radical" followers were there. Who knows.Didnt Russell and the rest of bethel, stand on Brooklyn bridge waiting for armageddon in Oct 1914 ??
Im sure I read somewhere that they did
October has 31 days. Winter time. The bridge is very breezy.

Yeah, The society predicted that god would bring about armegeddon in 1914, and in 1914 humans started a war. So later on they say that Jesus came that year... but it was invisible, and they claim that they were so smart for predicting this.
If you go to a furtune teller and she says: "You will die in a car accident next month." One month goes by and you fall off of a ladder and break your wrist. Was the furtune teller right? NO , you'd have to be an idiot to think so. And what if later on the furtune teller tells you that your invisible soul died that day, and that's what caused you to fall of the ladder? I'd want a refund.
