  Some of the questions that were asked :

  Would you tend to accept a police officer's word over that of the defendant because he is a police officer?

  Do you know the D.A.?

  Do you know the defendant?

  Can you be impartial?

  Have you formed an opinion in the case?

  Answering "Yes" to the first three and a "No" answer on the fourth would probably get you out.

  The charge was vehicular homicide. I was not a member of the jury.

  Well, I found out today that I'll still get paid if I go, but I'd much rather work than sit in a court room. Just pulling into the parking lot of a courthouse gives me the jitters.

  Thanks for the advice though. I'm starting to think that it may be kind of interesting...have a couple weeks to decide.
