Do you have many different folders for different things, or just throw everything here and there.

Do you also make cleanups in your favorites, or just let them add up?

I just want to know if there is some kind of relationship between being tidy at home and tidy in your computer.....lol

    Very tidy here, JH.

I organise my documents into whatever category is appropriate, it's a lot easier to find stuff that way, and have the occasional clear out, around every 2 - 3 months, to get rid of stuff that I've done with.

    My home is tidy too.

I'm afraid, not. My wife is that way, but not me.

In the old days of DOS 3.1 it used to really piss me off wehn people stored files on the root directory. I am extremely organized with folders and sub-solders etc. I also clean out the electronic trash can etc regularly and sort other peoples files at work

My computers are well organized. It's the rest of my life that's a bloody mess.

Yes, I'm very tidy with my computer. I never use it to look at dirty stuff or store dirty stuff. That's good enough for me!

I try to keep it organized with different folders so I can quickly find things. I'd say I have about 30 folders of my main interest and a misscellaneous file to catch everything else. I try to keep my favorites to the 20 I use most often then I have about a hundred favorites stored under links.

    wow what a question

    I have 2 hard drives.

The first hard drive is partitioned into 3 drives

    1. main C drive
    2. a drive for images only
    3. a programs drive used for downloaded programs and updates

The second hard drive is also partitioned into 3 drives

    1. JW drive for everything related to JWs and yup I save a ton of stuff on it
    2. Personal data - articles I have written, health info, my website pages
    3. Crafts - recipes, knitting, crochet sewing

Between all of the drives I have 100 GB of space. If I didn't keep it very organized I'd never find anything

Now if you ask what is on the desk around my computer - that is messy but I know where everything is . . . most of the time
