    MzLiz,

I share your enthusiasm: I was stayed on Koh Muk (smaller, more secluded than Koh Chang - but I understand it will be more commercialised by next season) and took day trips to several other islands in the vicinity in March/April of this year. Absolutely paradisaic!

I have never had the opportunity to travel outside the US (yet ); However, I tend to gravitate to Oceans. I love being on the water and find comfort and solice from the sea. So any where near salt air for me.

Armstrong redwoods by the Russian river about 60 miles north of San Francisco. Very peaceful and serene there with trees 1000's of years old. and 20 minutes from Jenner by the Sea right on the Pacific Ocean.

Me and my Girlfriend go to a hill nearby, its really nice to just go up at midnight and relax when things elsewhere aren't going right.

Its out of the way, no one is up there and you can see whats going on from there, to Manchester and on a clear day you can see really far.

In the mountains. The only ones I'm real familiar with is N. Ga and the Smokey Mt Natl Pk. I love it up there, either at the top looking around for miles or camped out down below with the smell of green all around you. I need to take a trip out to the Rockys.

    Ditto Gary B,

...but my studio is far too tiny to accomodate that all-important recliner! My new place is secluded and tranquil, set on beautiful grounds (ironically, tended by me 20 years ago). It's my Walden Pond, where I spend most of every day in study, reflection and writing. The few hours I go out are spent with my beloved students and family, and at the gallery. I am an armchair traveler and just last night "traveled" to all the world's famous volcanos. I woke up refreshed from my jaunt and then this morn sailed off to Moscow to visit Peter and Nina Tchaikovsky. As good as it gets!

    A true homebody,

    CoCo
