FMF, Nobody knows how to push our buttons quite like family. And everyone in our family that is older than us is usually inclined to think that we're still very young and inexperienced, certainly not as mature as THEY are.
I gotta admit that your family is way pushier than mine has been.
I can empathise with you FMF;
it's so difficult when speaking to family members who are still 'in', not to point out the falsehood in something they've just robotically regurgitated!
Reminds me of this verse -
"So I said: “I am not going to make mention of him, And I will speak no more in his name.” But in my heart it became like a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I was tired of holding it in; I could no longer endure it." (Jeremiah 20:29)
How many of us here have said to ourselves that we were not going to discuss TTATT with our Witness friends and family anymore?
