No. She married an unknown guy the first time she married.

Sheesh! I thought at least the 'Merkans might get my joke.

Since we never got Rodney's shows over here, I didn't realise this until I saw a biography of Rodney that he did a series of shows or specials where Roseanne played his loud-mouthed verbally abusive wife in some sketches. She went on to do her own show later.

This has often been the case - we'll get some personality arrive full-blown over here and not know where the heck they came from. Best example is the Seinfeld show. When it first arrived here, he was billed as the funniest man in America, which was kind of pointless, because we'd never heard of him. It wasn't until years later when we got SNL reruns on paytv that I put two and two together. Same with Adam Sandler.

That had to have been hype. Jerry Seinfeld is about as funny as a bowl of oatmeal. Wayne Knight, Newman on the TV series, now he is funny.

Oops! I guess I don't remember the Rodney Dangerfield/Roseanne connection. I thought it was out of character for you to say something derogatory about anyone, Steph.

I must admit I was surprised you thought I was. Roseanne may hardly be my favourite actress in the world, but she had a tough life and had to fight hard to make a life for herself and her kids, so she has my admiration for that.

As I understand it, Rodney's shows were her break into TV. It's very hard to do sociological archaeology at this distance...

feel like some people don't like her because she is strong, outspoken and successful.

outspoken is an understatement . obnoxious is probly more like it . I didn't like her show but thought john goodman was kinda funny . I think it'd be cool, a show about a cult group tho . This is sounding like another talk show which I don't think the world needs by any stretch of the imagination .

That's the one! Rodney nurtured a lot of well known comedic talent to life, both through his club and his telly specials, or so I understand...

Thought I'd bring this back up, seeing this is supposed to be on tonight.

Is 7 p.m. pst (Pacific Standard Time) 10 p.m. Eastern time?

Will this be shown on her Myspace web log?

Or is there any other way we can view this on the computer?

    Thanks...Hubert
