Unfortunately, it seems the show is in the form of an HBO "special," which means it is probably already in the can and waiting to be aired. Roseanne's joke about a Jehovah's Witness protection program probably reflects the toality of her interest in things Dubbish.

I therefore prophesy that the show will leave us with an odd empty feeling.

    Oh, Nathan, you're so right....

I just checked again and the show is going to air on HBO on Nov. 4th and she's already selling the DVD online.

Well, I can put a positive spin on that. At least, if we contact her and let her know what we think about the show, she'll have the flip side of the coin for future reference when she considers doing another show. :)

Does anyone CARE what Rosanne Barr has to say about anything? She's hardly a spokesperson for decency and American values. Sorry to be blunt.

RoseAnne is older than 43. 53 possibly. I have always liked her wit and sarcasm. She Devil was an amazingly funny movie.

Wasn't Rodney Dangerfield the poor, hen-pecked husband of that shrew??

Her long-running TV show was a very good portrayal of typical "American values." It was a farce, if you didn't get the point of the show. As far as being a spokesperson for American values, perhaps you could make a suggestion who is?

No. She married an unknown guy the first time she married. Tom Arnold was her second husband. And some guy named Ben was her third. It is said that Tom Arnold was a gold digger and took advantage of her professionally and privately.

I feel like some people don't like her because she is strong, outspoken and successful. People don't always feel comfortable with those qualities in a woman. I know she isn't perfect. Who of us is? She does love her kids and grandkids. She apologizes when she realizes she's wrong. I think she's very funny and I enjoyed the dialogue on her TV sitcom as well as her stand up routine.

I feel like people loved knocking Martha Stewert down for the same reasons. She's successful, strong and before prison, too much of a perfectionist. I think if she had been a man, no one would have given her "stock scandal" much thought. I can tell she's kinder and more appreciative of people since prison. I was watching her show one day and she mentioned JW's. She said she had known a lot of very nice people who were also JW's.

I will speak out when the issue is important. I will also stand up for myself. Luckily, Andy respects me for it. He likes women who aren't afraid to speak out and up.
