Warm welcome. At least the couple of elders were honest (if not warped). Most would tell you that you would only be DF'ed if you were not repentant, then get you in that room and decide that a DF would help you to show full repentance.
I am happy that you got out, got a real life before they took it away.

I was raised as JW too... left 35 years later due to the Dateline exposure on JW's and pedophile coverups.
It takes a while to fully recover from the "spiritual abuse"........especially when you have family that are still JW's.
Thanks for sharing your story... this is a great place for healing.
