The JW's use John 17: 3 to prove their point that it's Jehovah your supposed to preach about first.

But that simply states taking in knowledge, God does not force anyone to take in knowledge, that's

why we have freewill, but when you freely take in that knowledge, Paul gives the directive on what the

good news is and how it's to be preached according to 1Corithians 15:1-26 and then in Galatians 1:8

it gives a warning if that is preached any differently. And in Galatians 1:11 it states that this news comes

from the one in authority. These scriptures support that it is Jesus your supposed to be a witness of

you get to know him you can't help but learn about the father.

On page 199 in the reasoning book, it shows that JW's clearly go against what is taught by paul

What this thread reminded me of clearly is that fully 80% of Witness doctrine (some might say 100%) - is quite obviously the result of scriptural manipulation:

The combination of various unrelated single verses taken completely out of their context and manipulated to say what the witness author of that particular doctrine WANTED it to say.

It has actually even extended to manipulation of their bible "translation" - unhistorical and unscholarly insertion of the name Jehovah everywhere, suppression of verses that suggest worship of Jesus or could be taken to suggest trinity, "taught you from house to house" (i.e. door to door ministry), and so on.
