He'll at least be on the death list. Be careful you don't get on it. (seriously) There's not much you have to say to be on it.

There were three people here in the Netherlands that were on it. Two of them are dead. One of them is in hiding.

    Be careful.

thing is.. a person of the Popes stature doesnt "accidently" say ANYTHING. he knew what he was saying and the reaction it would cause.

i just wonder what his agenda is.

The assasination of the Pope has been an al qaeda objective since at least 1995.

Google "pope al-qaeda" to check it out.

Pope Benedict XVI gave a speech in his native Germany this week during which he quoted 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus. Paleologus wrote of the dangers of spreading religion at swordpoint, and used the expansion of Islam as an example: Benedict quoted the following, triggering outrage from some Muslims.

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

So far, prominent Muslim leaders have condemned Benedict's "crusader mentality" and called for Arab states to break off relations with the Vatican. The head of the Muslim Brotherhood claimed that quoting the 600 year old letter had aroused "the anger of the Muslim world."

The Vatican has rushed out an explanation, arguing Benedict intended "to cultivate a position of respect and dialogue towards other religions and cultures, and that clearly includes Islam."

And we know the Pope can't take it back. What he said was due to his infallability.

    Thanks for the link, Jourles.

I don't think they'll assassinate the Pope over that.

They never got Salman Rushdie, did they?
