    Earthtone,

The reservations I made at the Luxor for January I made online and it said my card would only be charged for one night and the entire reservation was cancellable up to 48 hours before the first night. When we stayed at the Aladdin in July, we didn't pay until we checked out. The first thing we need to find out is which weeks (Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday) are the least expensive, because we have to tell them the dates before they can tell us the rates. Most of these hotels have web sites and we can then go and check their rates for those dates. We could then post a thread showing the hotels and rates for the dates we decide on. We could then just give everybody a list of hotels and rates and let everybody vote on it. We would be willing to abide by the majority vote. The only thing standing in our way is the actual dates, because our business does have things scheduled through 2007. Other than that, we're a definite! Thanks for all the time you've spent!

    Lenny, you've been alot! lol

I've only been once, but I think friday and sat are the most expensives days. I like thur-Sun, but again majority can rule on this.

Your idea sounds great and I was actually doing that. You can find out rates for most of the hotels (70 at least) right now until mid June for next year. We might not be able to get a meeting room for free doing it this way, but at least we can find the cheapest. It really about what's good for all. I may be taking the lead, but it's mainly because I suggested it. I have no problem with someone helping me and others idea. I am in no way an event planner ,but the thought of seeing you all is making this so enjoyable for me, I can't complain.

I live in Vegas. My husband and I will come and visit with whoever comes. Just make sure you send a reminder as the date approaches closer!!!!!!!!!! I have CRS syndrome.

I'm definitely in, but definitely don't need a 250a night room. If we all get rooms in the same hotel, why not get them at a cheaper hotel, so then we can all be together, and all go out on the strip together?

I have stayed fancy ang not so fancy. IMO not so fancy is just fine. You are barely ever in your room but to maybe sleep a sec, shower or change. So I'm in for something cheaper. Balley's was reasonable. (How about the Westward Ho??? LOL Very cheap.) I'll keep my eyes out for specials. WW

    Richie,

I'm trying to find something reasonable. I'm looking up every hotel on the strip and trying to get pricing. some have prices for Aug, but the majority only have up to July. Remember if you share the room, you only have to pay half . So I would be more concerned with airfare. We can be on the strip for cheap. One of the hotel quoted 325(flamingo) another 310(barbary Coast) and another 510(ballys). All on the strip for the dates of Aug 9-12 (thur- sun). These are not 4star hotels but they are okay. I actually like bally's.. Paris is really nice and the rate for those dates were 607.

I'm still looking, as I said earlier some haven't posted for Aug yet and only go to July or Apri. I'm on Rivera now (alp bet order). The most expensive was Harrah's so far the highest for any thur- sun date was 1200 dollar ( up to june) and cheapest 300 with an average of 650. Bellagio is consistently 800-900 for thur- sun, same with Mandalay Bay, so I think those will be veto'd.

Aladdin, Cesear, Imperial Palace, Luxor, MGM, mirage, New Frontier, New York New York - All around 600-850 for any given thur- sun for dates up to June. Some like Monte Carlo and Circu Circus, and excalibur don't really go past 2006 or the first few months of 2007, so we have to wait for pricing.

The prices I have gotten are all from their own website (suggestion taken from lenny*thanx, hug*) most require a deposit and then full payment at the end of the trip with cancellation 72 or 48 hours for a refund.

Hope this new info helps. I'm trying to stay on top of them. Will do Rivera - Venetian tomorrow. Nite!

I was under the impression that the "Apostofest" 2007 was gonna be in Norway, at Kent's place, if Im not mistaken.
