Yes, and slaveowners were promised reimbursement for their slaves. But Lincoln was assassinated and the course of history was changed.

What rural farmer is he talking about, most rural farmers are being bought out by the big ag. industry farms. The organic farmers are being harassed by the goverment in this state.
