    Going off of experience in my old congregations, the sisters who had MONEY were married to non-believers, and in certain cases, active opposers.

    Funny you should say that LDH, the only 'sister' in my former congregation who 'stood out' as being better off - expensive clothes, house and cars (and she was admired for it), was married to a man who had a good business but was never a JW.

    Thanks, Blondie, for putting a little common sense and fact into this thread.

    This one is not quite as dumb as an earlier thread from a week or so ago where 2112 wrote that the Society was going to announce that all Witnesses had to divorce their unbelieveing mates, but it's getting there. They already are tough on any JW marrying a non-JW, but disfellowshipping isn't going to be used there.

    Sorry folks. Foolish speculation. And the original post, Sammielee, doesn't make sense. You said your husband was talking to a friend who has a Pioneer wife, and then you quote her. Was she in on the conversation? And what does it mean that they were discussing this at Bible studies?
