Gee...I wouldn't really call myself lost...nor a sheep at that point. I'm more of a cuddly wolverine-like animal. And I have an impeccable sense of direction too, I'll have you know. :)

I've been wondering that too actually. Of course in the very act of typing this reply galactic powers will be alerted and I'll have a line forming at my house when I get home of door-to-door religious salesmen, but here goes...

Not a single witness has knocked at my door in almost 10 years. I just find that...intriguging. They don't know who I am, cause I have mad ninja relocating skills. I'm not inviting, believe me, but I just found it curious.

I would actually hope I wouldn't be contacted. I know they're trying to make some efforts through my mom by having her always tell me they were "asking for me". But someone comes to my door I'd know I was set up.

I would be shocked if they called on me considering how long it;s been. It might be fun if they did, I"ve got some questions for them.

they are too busy knocking on not at homes, don't forget if they don't get their 9.2 hrs a month they will lose their coveted position.

Then the congregations would surely fall apart without their leadership.

I remember shepherding calls were always neglected, we would come up with a program or schedule but after a couple of months it would die out.

In the late seventies they instructed all the elders to contact those in their area who had "faded". Some of these people had been gone for 20 years but they had never been DF'd or anything else. The purpose was to try to reactivate them or disfellowship them. "Officially in or officially out" were the words of our Elder school instructor, Sam Friend. (By the way, this campaign led to some of the stupidest, most assinine elder visits you could imagine)

It's just another tactic to ratchet up some "the end is near" excitement.

If the end is soooooooooo close, why are they building a HUGE multi-million dollar building of accommodation a couple of blocks from where I live?!?!?!?!
