"Queen Neferkitty" - what a great name for a cat. I knew someone who named his female dog Miss Fred. I thought that was pretty cool too.

Oh yeah. Mother nature can be cruel--or so it seems. Still, there's not too much that's grosser than stepping on a dead rabbit or mouse.

When one of my cats would bring me a mouse, he was always very proud of himself and I couldn't help but share his pride at what a good hunter he was. He caught that thing all by himself and now, to prove that he loved me, wanted me to help him eat it. How sweet of him to want to share that yummy mousey with me. LOL

Of course, those days are gone. My cats are getting too old to hunt very much now. I will miss them very much one day.

BSoM ~ I had several serious talks with her about her about it (am quite serious, I talk to her like she's human) she did slow down in bringing them to me after I made a big show over being very disappointed with her.

This was after I came home to find my front door wide open with a trail of blood leading into the living room. There were 2 mice and a sparrow carefully arranged in front of my chair.

Maggie was hurt that I did NOT appreciate her gesture. How she got the front door open I still dont know.

poppers: Thx we named her after Nefertity. Mrs. Fred that's so cute! Animals are so cool we can name them whatever we want. Unlike kids. Although .... we did name our youngest Juniper. :)

Robdar: Yeah losing a pet is very hard. Prior to the Queen we had Mr.Bean. He was such an awesome cat. He was huge and beautiful. We started letting him out before we moved out to the burbs and when we got here he got hit by a car a few streets away. Some people found him and took him in to the shelter and they put him down.
That was awful.

So how was the mouse? ;)

Hey talking to our animals like they are human is not so weird.
I say excuse me to my dog, lol.

I know when Neferkitty brought in the mouse I did the whole express displeasure thing and I think that she is sort of rebelling right now :q. Kids.

Hm, now that would have to be the 'oddest thing you have ever eaten' wouldn't ya say? ;)

I'll have to try that recipe with the next bird she brings home. Hey, if I do this right maybe she can get me a turkey for Thanksgiving.
